Another scenery update....
First of all, the outer top-most perimeter of the benchwork table (foam and wood) was painted black to eventually compensate for black skirting material that has been planned to cover the exposed wood.
Then, I completed the task of adding scenery to a majority of the right-hand side of the Allegheny Mountains. Once again, using Woodland Scenic's clump foliage in dark green & light green colors with LocTite Spray Glue, it turned out to be an utter success. Here are two photos of what the Horseshoe Curve Branch Line currently looks like; notice the realism that the foliage adds to the mountains-
The Next Step - cutting out the second Kittanning Reservoir, and painting the entire exposed foam surface in tan. Also, I plan on employing Plaster of Paris to fill in exposed cracks in the foam at the top part of the layout, which will additionally help with fully forming-out the shape of the mountain face.
