The Horseshoe Curve Branch Line

My N-Scale Layout depicting the Horseshoe Curve during the late reign of the PRR, early PC years

My Layout

The Horseshoe Curve Branch Line

The Horseshoe Curve Branch Line is my completed N-Scale model of the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, PA; operated in the time frames of the reign of the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) as well as its short successor the Penn Central (PC). The layout itself is built on a 5' x 8' benchwork which has provided not only the perfect modeling space for the Curve, but has also made train staging possible at the forefront of the layout. My main purpose for constructing the Horseshoe Curve Branch Line layout was to capture the ultimate railroading at the Horseshoe Curve rather than precise accuracy in elevation, etc, which I believe that I've achieved.
